Meet Laura: Our December Yoga Teacher at Into the Blue Sri Lanka
At Into the Blue Sri Lanka, we’re committed to creating a peaceful, supportive space where guests can reconnect with themselves through yoga, nature, and mindful living. This December, we are thrilled to welcome Laura, who will be leading our daily morning yoga classes from 8–9 AM in our open-air shala overlooking the serene surroundings of Unakuruwa.
A Journey Rooted in Healing and Self-Discovery
Laura’s love for yoga blossomed through her own personal healing journey. Living with hypermobility and arthritis, she discovered yoga as a pathway to strengthen, restore, and support her body. Her experience gives her a deep understanding of what it means to move with awareness, compassion, and care.
Drawing from this background, Laura offers classes that are gentle, restorative, and beginner-friendly, making her sessions accessible to practitioners of all levels. Whether you are new to yoga or looking to deepen your practice during your stay in Sri Lanka, Laura provides a welcoming space for everyone.
What to Expect in Laura’s Classes
Laura teaches a unique blend of Hatha Kundalini, integrating:
Pranayama (breathwork)
Gentle asana (postures)
Restorative movements
Self-healing practices such as reflexology massage
Her classes are designed to help you slow down, reconnect with your body, and cultivate inner balance — a perfect way to begin your day at Into the Blue.
Guided by Ancient Wisdom
With knowledge rooted in meridian theory and inspired by I Ching philosophy, Laura’s approach to yoga is holistic and deeply mindful. Her guiding mantra as a yogi is simple yet powerful:
to create practices that are accessible for all.
This inclusive philosophy aligns beautifully with the spirit of Into the Blue, where we aim to make yoga, wellness, and mindful experiences available to everyone who visits our retreat in southern Sri Lanka.
Join Us in the Shala This December
